Creativity Workshops
Below is a list of creativity workshops offered by Susan Loughrin.  Each workshop has been designed to explore the nature of creativity and can be modified to meet the needs of any group. 



Creativity and Kids Workshop

This is a hands-on session designed to connect children to their own creative journey.   Hands-on activities created to nurture creative play and thinking.  Exploration of music, visual arts, journaling and movement are the focus of these sessions.
Audience:  Pre-school/Elementary Teachers, classroom presentations, parents



Artful Thinking

The goal of the Artful Thinking program, based on Project Zero research, is to help teachers, parents, and students develop thinking dispositions that support thoughtful learning in the arts, and across school subjects.
Hands-on workshops for staff to support thinking using art as an entry point. Exploration of visual arts, movement, and music are the focus of these sessions.  The Artful Thinking Routines are used to elicit discussion and create a “visible thinking” structure.
Audience:  k-8 educators, educational staff retreats, parents of young children, museum docent programs



Thinking with a Line

This program demonstrates strategies for working with materials while introducing the process of line printing to young children.
Hands-on opportunity to utilize “print” making materials through a variety of activities
Based on research by Thinking with a Line creator
Cathy Topal
Audience: early childhood/elementary educators, classroom presentations, retreats/workshops for educators



Music and Movement

A delightful way to learn about language is through song and movement activities.
Songs/movements are the focus of these sessions to develop a community of joy and learning.
Sessions will lead participants through many familiar songs with movements that will bring everyone to their feet
Audience: early childhood/elementary educators, classroom presentations
